Three Favorite Items

Picking just 3 items is tough, espeically since I basically use the same products over and over. So, here goes.

A personal item. Anything with lavender in it. My bubble bath, soap, air freshener, perfume, they have to have that lavender smell in it!! It’s such a relaxing smell and it reminds me of my grandmother’s so much. I guess I am an old fashioned kind of girl. I would love to grow my own lavender, but I live in Florida and its too hot to grow it.

A household item. I guess this would be the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I have never had a cleaning item really clean like this before. It will take grease and dirt off of virtually any surface. This is an item everyone needs to try and of course, you can purchase this any grocery store or Walmart.

An electronic item. The most excitiing electronic item I cannot live without is my DirecTV DVR service. I have had this now for a couple of years and is worth every penny we spend on it. Yes, I am a tvaholic and I love to watch movies. I can record a whole season of a certain show and not worry if its being recorded or not if I am not at home. Skip through the commercials, pause, fast forward and rewind. It does it all!! I also love my Rio mp3 player.

But, the item I could never live without is my computers. (I don’t have a brand name for my computers, because I build them myself.) I am a computer geek and love to work with and build computers. My computer helps me with all my pictures, videos, my craft projects, my business, communications and any time to help me search for answers to my daily questions. Everything seems to evolve around this crazy thing called a computer. I even met my husband online a few years ago and that was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I know I went over 3 items, but I knew I couldn’t just pick 3!

Changes

Spring always means change or growth. Any changes or growth going on in your life?
I seem to think that everyday is a changing day for me. I have noticed that the older I have gotten, the more changes are happening. Not only with my body, (thats a subject that I could spend days on), but in my mind and soul.
My husband of almost 5 years now has done so much to help my stagnant brain grow, open up and achieve things I thought were impossible. He has taught me so much about love, life and business. A few years ago I didn’t think I would ever know what true love was, what a wonderful full life is and that I would have my own business! I laugh more now than ever, which is one of my favorite things to do and 99% of that laughter is becuase of my husband. He is my true soul mate.
Easter Memories
Since yesterday was Easter and family lives far away now, I thought I would post one of my favorite pictures of myself and my brother one Easter back in the 60′s. Dont’ you just love those outfits!!

Barely Working Hard

It’s another week that my husband is in Georgia working and Ernest (the dog) and I are left to guard the fort.

Monday, I had lunch with a new neighbor and a couple of other gal pals that live here in our wonderful retirement community in Florida. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, lunch with the girls. Sitting outside on a perfect Florida day, sipping on a little tropical drink, looking out at the rolling hills of the golf course and just talking about, what else, our husbands!! I really enjoy lunches with the girls. Don’t get me wrong, there isn’t anything better then time with my husband, but a girl just needs that time with other girl friends. I think we solved all the world problems that day and then we had to say good bye til next Monday. I wonder what “husband” stories we will have by then.

I worked on my website, made a few store items to display and did alot of research on the internet. I love doing research on the internet. Just Google a topic and there it is! I have found out, if you can’t find it on the internet, it ain’t there. I did have a hard time finding a long reach hole puncher with a 1/2 inch hole. But after many hours searching, I finally found one! Another thing to mark off my business list of things to do. Now if the wind would calm down a bit, I can go outside and take pictures of my store items.

Usually while my husband is gone on these weekly trips, I try to get alot of scrapbooking or video editing done while there is peace and quite and the only thing I have to really worry about is when the dog comes up to me to tell me its time to go outside to (I have to spell it) p-o-t-t-y.

Last night my parents, they live in another retirement community down the road a piece, picked me up to have me video tape them practicing their golf swing at the local driving range. My parents just started playing golf a few weeks ago. My dad is a heart transplant and broken hip patient who is 77 years old and my mom is going on 69 this year. They took a few lessons and I was just in awe at how they were hitting the ball so well. See, you are never too old to learn new things!! We also had a nice dinner and talked about the upcoming visit my brother and his family are planning in May. I know I will have some good stories after they leave!!

Well, thats pretty much been my week. Oh, I do have some flowers to plant this weekend, if the weather holds out. It’s suppose to get in the 40′s here in Central Florida this weekend and that is just too cold for me!! So I might have to wait a few days to plant.

My husband will be home on Sunday and we are planning to have Easter dinner with the neighbors. We always have a nice time with the neighbors.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends and see you on my next post.
