I have used Internet Explorer for quite some time now and in the past few months, I was really starting to have a problem with it hanging up, not loading java correctly and freezing up entirely. I was having to restart my computer more than I was wanting to. Since I am a geek at heart, I was totally confused. As many of you already know, I live in Florida, so a great deal of our time is spent outside. I love sitting on my lanai and watching my butterfly garden and the birds at their feeders. The only problem I have sitting out there is that we have the most uncomfortable furniture ever!!

Blog Prompt – Where I’ve been, where I’ve lived and where I’d love to go
Since my dad was in the Navy when I was born, we lived in a few places. California and Hawaii are the places I remember before we moved back to our home state of Missouri. I lived there until 2002 and then I moved to Georgia for 3 years and now I am settled in Florida for awhile, I hope. I don’t want to move again. It’s not fun for sure.
So there really isn’t any place I want to live now, because Florida was a place I always wanted to live. I love the sun, the heat and the sand. I don’t know if its because we lived in Hawaii all those years or why I love it so much. My name does mean Palm Tree and dolphins are my favorite animal.
Speaking of Dolphins, I know most of you ladies don’t care about football, but I am so proud of the Miami Dolphins this year. We went from a 1 – 15 season last year to 11-5 this year and are in the playoffs!! I am just so happy about this. Actually, I didn’t care if we made it to the play offs or not. I was just so proud of our season this year. GO FINS!!!!!!

This is a yummy post for sure!!
This year we spent with some of my mother’s friends here in Florida. This is the 1st year that our small family wasn’t together since I have been on this earth. It was different but still nice. It was nice to eat what people from different parts of the country eat here in the US.
We had BBQ’d standing rib roast that just melted in our mouths. Oh my goodness it was wonderful. Scalloped potatoes, corn casserole, asparagus, salad and rolls was the rest of the menu for Christmas day. I also had a great new creamer called Italian Sweet Cream that was wonderful. You can find it in your dairy area at the grocery store.
In the past years at my moms, when we had family over, she would fix Italian beef, garlic cheese grits, Rotel, a really good Olive Cheese Ball and a knock off of the salad you can get at Olive Garden. It was always good to leave out and when family came in during the day, you could make you a sandwich and join in on the party. Of course, there was always Italian Coconut Cream Cake and maybe a pie or two to nibble on.
While we were eating last night, my mom made the comment that this was the first year that she hasn’t fixed Christmas dinner in over 50 years. It was sad this year. My dad being gone now for a year, my brothers family didn’t come down, so it was jut my mom, my hubby and me. And we were glad that her neighbors asked us over for dinner. This was their first Christmas without a very large family and they were lonely too.
I hope there will always be family and friends to help celebrate the holidays with us.
