Honesty and Layout
Blog prompt: Today is National Honesty Day. How do you feel about honesty? Do you feel like there are times that it is okay to be dishonest? If so, when?
It’s sad to see today the dishonesty that goes on. Its all over the news, people you work with and people that are close to you.
What has broke my heart more than anything is having a true friend, I thought, lie to my face. There is nothing worse then having a friend lie to you! Well, now that I have been burned, I am less trustful of people and it shouldn’t be that way. I look at people differently and it seems they have to earn my trust to get close to me now. I am afraid to let my guard down.
I have some very close friends that I would trust with my life and know they are truthful with me. I cherish that.
Now about when its ok to lie a tiny bit. I remember telling little white ones to my son because he was too young to understand the truth or because, maybe I didn’t want to deal with it. And of course, telling him a little lie came back to bite me later on when he was older because he remembered it.
We were at McDonald’s and I always got him a plain cheeseburger. He was maybe 3 years old. When I opened it up for him, I noticed they put those little onions on it. He asked me what those were and I told him, “That is only big salt. It’s ok” I LIED AND HE REMEMBERED THAT!!!!!! Years later he told me about it too and to this day will bring it up now and again when we have a burger together.
So I guess the best advice is never tell a lie!!

Now that I have been a mother for 30 years, it makes me appreciate my mother even more. I have learned many things from her like cooking and sewing. She was also a beautician for many years and I learned many things about keeping my hair just right and also how to keep the gray out. I have many of her recipes that I use many times. I appreciate her more than you can imagine.
I was saddened to hear that Bea Authur had passed this past weekend. Oh how I loved that woman in Maude and especially in Golden Girls.
I love the idea of a 
I love having fashionable accessories and that also means my watch. Ladies, your watch can go with your outfits too. But, in this economy, who wants to pay top dollar when you can get really nice 
The next thing I want to do is get one of those rain barrels to put in the back of the house where the rain can be caught from the down spout. I can use all that rain water to fill up my watering can for my pots. I just wish they weren’t so expensive.
