What a week this was. We had family for a few days and that meant 4 little grandchildren to enjoy. I took so many pictures that it took 2 pages for all of them.
All the items I used are from Weeds & Wildflowers using Sweet & Simple kit #4 for the month of April. I love the purple colors she used for this month.

My son is looking for a new apartment where his job is and he told me about a website where he could search for a new apartment. He defiantly needed some form of rental assistance in trying to figure out all the details for a new apartment. He is searching for a small Studio Apartment for himself and dog. The idea of a small studio suits him just fine. Not much to keep clean all the time since his job keeps him from home a lot.
He was lucky and found a great deal on a nice apartment. He told me the website was easy to get around in. Just put the name of your city and state, how many rooms and bathrooms you are looking for. Choices are shown with pictures, descriptions and the amount of rent. There were many photos of one apartment. I loved that and we both could see the outside, the area and the complete inside of the apartment. He was also able to shop for different floor plans and amounts of rent, if he wanted to.
What a great and easy experience for my son to find the perfect apartment he needs for his budget and to be close to his new job.
To nap or not to nap? Which side of this issue are you on?
I cracked up when I saw this prompt today. Asking someone over the age of 50 whether she wants to nap or not. I live in a community where schedules are made around every one’s afternoon naps! The joke around here is, “Time to go to bed after Murder She Wrote.” A tv show that’s over by 8 pm.
Now to answer the question. I do and I don’t like to take naps. With my body going through menopause right now, it tells me all the time, “TAKE A NAP”! But, when I do, I can’t fall asleep when its time to go to bed. So, I am basically so tired and run down during the day. When I go to bed, I fall asleep pretty quickly, but then will awake about 3 am and will just lay there wide eyed. I use to sleep so well too!!
I do love to take a nap while I am riding in a car. I hear I have been doing that since I was a mere child. I remember laying in the floor board area in the back of the car to feel the car moving down the road. It felt like someone was rocking me to sleep. I loved doing that and of course, this was pre-seat belt era.
Now my husband is another subject. If he doesn’t get his afternoon nap, he is worse than a very young child around dinner time. We had some errands to run yesterday and while we were going down the road he said in his best little boy voice, “I’m not going to get my nap this afternoon and I know I will be cranky.”
We also have to watch major TV shows before 9 pm or he will be asleep on the couch. So, that’s another good reason to have DVR service.

I have a white sink that I just can’t deal with anymore. You can’t clean it, it stains very easily and it scratches. I am ready to get rid of it and start looking for a decent stainless steel sinks
I had a stainless steel sink in my last home and loved it!! It cleans well and it was really deep to wash big pans. MR Direct Sales stainless sinks are made with 16 gauge steel which is thicker than Kohl and Blanco sinks. I like that. Remember, you use your kitchen sink every day and you want one to last. I love the idea of an under mount sink. Easy clean up.
The picture shows a great sink that has 3 wells. I like to dry my dishes on one side and wash on the other. The middle area is great for the garbage disposal. You know that always happens. You thought you had all the dishes ready to wash and someone will bring you another plate with food on it and now you can’t put it down the garbage disposal.
Blog Prompt: Tell about an imaginary friend that you had when you were growing up. If you didn’t have one, tell about one you would have liked to have.
I don’t recall having an imaginary friend. I had my brother and my dolls to play with. I remember talking to them and using them in my everyday life of acting like a mom and they were my babies. The picture shows me with one of my many. BTW, the rocking chair is still in the family. It was my dads, then mine, then my brothers, then my sons and now to my nephew. It has truly been loved.
I don’t think I would’ve needed one back then. I enjoyed things the way they were.
