Blog Prompt – In 1894 Walter Hunt invented the safety pin. What invention(s) do you think really took off in a direction not anticipated?
I think the debit card was not accepted when it was first discussed and brought out in the 70′s. I remember writing a term paper on it back in 1978 and I was so intrigued about the idea. My teacher didn’t care for the subject though. But the idea of not having to write a check and that my purse could be smaller was a great relief. I hate carrying a purse.
I’m glad to see that it has been accepted by many in our country since then. It’s all I use now a days.

I used the debit card for a while but then my hubby had so many horror stories from his courtroom about debit card stuff, so we stopped using it totally. Now we only use our credit card.
