Blog Prompt: Ray Kroc, Founder of McDonald’s Corp. – was born Ray Arthur Kroc on October 5, 1902 in Oak Park, Illinois. Died January 14, 1984. What is your favorite fast food place and what do you like to order?
Who doesn’t love fast food!! I would eat it all the time, but I know the consequences. Just smelling those wonderful cheeseburgers and french fries makes me gain 20 pounds. So, I might have a fast food dinner once a month. I figure all the working out I do, I can eat one really bad meal.
Anyway, back to the question, my favorite fast food right now is Chick-fil-A. Living in Missouri, I had never heard of this place because its mainly in the south. When I met my husband and he took me to Georgia the first time, I kept noticing the crazy billboards with cows all over them and they looked like the printing was done by a 2 year old. But they are great!! During the 2004 Presidential election, the bill boards were just hilarious. I have only seen the really funny ones up in the Jonesboro, GA area where Mr. Cathy lives. I’ve seen a couple down here in Florida, but they are the average, Eat More Chicken ones.
Finally I asked my husand what Chick-fil-A was and I got the “Where have you been all your life?” look. Forgetting I lived up north from him. So, he took me to my first Chick-fil-A and I just loved the chicken wraps and their waffle fries!! Of course, they are known for the chicken fillet with mustard and pickle sandwich, which McDonald’s is trying to copy. If you love chicken, this is the place for you.
I also love the story of Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-Fil-A. He lives where my husband was born and raised in Georgia and I also got to see his average ranch style home. You would never know this man was this great entrepreneur. I also love how he runs his companies and what he does for the surrounding community. The restaurants are always closed on Sunday and he just doesn’t hire anyone to work there either. I have never gone in a Chick-Fil-A where all the employees were not very nice, neat looking and considerate.
He also has the Dwarf House which is a very interesting restaurant in itself. When you walk in the door, you either go left for very fast service and leave or to the right for a more sit down and enjoy your meal. And yes, there is a dwarf red door in the very front for the kids and, well, I had to go through it too! We would eat breakfast there sometimes
I love this quote by Mr. Cathy – Each person’s destiny is not a matter of chance; it’s a matter of choice. It’s determined by what we say, what we do, and whom we trust.

I have been wanting to make my dog his own collars for a long time now and I finally got around to it yesterday. I had some Halloween material and the collar hardware and got to it and was really surprised how easy the project was and how well it looked. I love it when a project turns out better than I expected.
I think he looks quite handsome with his new collar and he posed so well for this picture too. Good boy, Ernest!

I also have a layout to share with you made with a kit by Robyn Gough. The kit is called Stawberry Mint Chip and I just loved all the pink colors. This kit is so cute for little girls.
