ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aug 16 is the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death. Do you know who Elvis is? If so, what was your favorite movie? Are you a big fan of his? Why or why not?
You ask, do I know Elvis!!!!!!!! I was raised on Elvis music, was born and raised just 3 hours north of Memphis, love Graceland, been to Tupelo and had tickets to see him for the very first time, but he died 2 weeks before we got to go. I cried!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn’t care if he weighed 500 pounds, he was Elvis, he was, “THE KING”!!!!!
To remember him by, I took the voting card to choose which Elvis you wanted for a USPS stamp (fat or skinny Elvis), a few of the stamps that were given out on the 1st day and a stamped postcard from Graceland. All these items are framed and in my guest bathroom. So as you sit on the potty and meditate, you can remember the life of Elvis. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
And of course, I can’t pick out my fav Elvis movie. I have them all taped on VHS and watch them now and again. I also have a couple of his live performances on tape also.
I have tons of his music and love to use it in some of my videos I make for the family. Actually, my parents, while they were getting married, the Justice of the Peace forgot to turn off his radio and it was playing Don’t Be Cruel. So that is my parents wedding song.
Elvis has been a big part in my families life and always will be.

Wow, you reminded me that I have some of those stamps somewhere too! They are tucked away in a baseball card protector along with all the Elvis cards I used to collect
I had forgotten about the stamp as well. Mom was always playing his records as well as those of Jim Nabors. Both men had voices that just resonated.
