Good or Bad?
Blog Prompt – “Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.” ~Plato. Do you find Plato’s statement to be as accurate today as they were nearly 2000 years ago?
Yes, this statement still holds true today. Even though they say good people sometimes commit crimes. Not in my heart or mind do good people ever commit crimes!
And it saddens me more and more to see more people turning to crime as a way of “helping” them in a crises. Stealing isn’t a way of helping you out of a situation.
It also saddens me to see that the family core is more and more not teaching our children between right and wrong. How can anyone live with what only bad brings them? Where do they learn that only bad things are good? I can’t imagine having a heart that only feels bad.
When will it stop?

With this economy, I think people are going to turn to crime to look for the easy way out, the quick fix, the immediate gratification because of fear of the unknown.

I have to agree with Andy. And with you. When will it stop and when will we put a stop to it.
We recently had a local convenience store get robbed. The clerk actually chased after the robber and hit him with a baseball bat but he got away. When they caught him, his excuse was that he lost his job and he had no money to pay his house payment so he was desperate. A lot of people are in this situation but we can’t just go rob from honest working people to solve our problems. I have a feeling it will just get worse.
