The clerk actually chased after the robber and hit him with a baseball bat but he got away. When they caught him, his excuse was that he lost his job and he had no money to pay his house payment so he was desperate. A lot of people are in this situation but we can't just go rob from honest working people to solve our problems. I have a feeling it will just get worse.
