Healthy Children, Freebies and Blog Challenge
Blog prompt: Today is National Child [Youth] Health Awareness Day. Tell us about a childhood illness that you had.
I wasn’t a sick child at all, BUT, I was accident prone. Heck, I didn’t even have chicken pox until I was a freshman in high school and had my tonsils out when I was 19 years old. Not fun!!!!!!
I fell an cracked my collar bone, I ran my foot through bike spokes and got blood poising, ran my arm through a ringer washer and dropped an iron on my arm. And I have all the scares to remind me of my life as a child.
The picture to the right shows me with my foot all wrapped up from the bike accident.
Now my brother was another story. He had a heart murmur, asthma and terrible allergies. Always sick or going to the hospital. And through all our accidents and illnesses, we are both healthy today!

No illnesses here ~ we were healthy kids! I have never yet broken a bone, but I did just have surgery for a seperated shoulder and I’ve had ligament tears.
love your layout for the chellenge great job. Illnesses, no I wasnt an ill child at all, my kids arent either thankfully. I think the health was the only stable thing in my youth….
Love your challenge layout. Good luck!!
Beautiful layout…what a gorgeous photo! And I’m so glad you’re healthy now
After reading your story, I was thinking about your poor parents! I bet they were wondering if they would survive their children’s childhood. Thanks for sharing and I hope you are less accident prone now that you are grown up!
