Heirlooms
What heirlooms do you have to pass down?
I am sooooooooo into passing things down from generation to generation. I have many things from my past grandmothers that are safely put away in my china cabinet. They mainly consist of china, silver and crystal items. I also have Christmas ornaments from grandmothers that I cherish a lot. I don’t have a little girl who would really appreciate all that china stuff, but I hope my son will pass them on to someone else in our family to cherish, if he doesn’t want them.
I do have a very extended collection of Dan Marino items. More than the sane person should have. I also have a very extensive ornament collection that I have been doing now for about 30 years. I am very proud of those ornaments and I hope my son will cherish them and my Snow Village for years to come.
That’s wonderful! Unfortunately, I don’t have much from my childhood to pass on. I have a baby doll that my great-grandmother knitted for me and my baby rocking chair, that’s about it. I’ve started several traditions that I hope my kids will keep and pass on someday. I too have an ornaments collection but I also collect postcards from everywhere we go, rocks, pressedf flowers, coins, and my hubby has his baseball card collection too
