Horses and Word Art Challenge
Blog Prompt: May 3 was the running of the Kentucky Derby. Would you want to be a horse? Why or why not?
I owned a few horses when I was on the farm, way back when. My first horse was just as sweet as she could be. Her name was Ginger and one day she cut the back of her leg bad enough that we had to put her down. Our next horse was a bit wild and even after training, she just wasn’t good for us, so we sold her and I haven’t had one since. They are magnificent creatures, but they are an accident waiting to happen. It broke my heart to see what happened at the Kentucky Derby and I hate what they have to do to get those animals ready for those races. Its sad.
But to be a horse? NO!!!!! That hugh body on those toothpick legs, and always carrying someone on your back!! And what would I eat all the time; grass, hay and oats. No, such a boring life.

Beautiful Quick page! My brother , sister & I had a horse when I was very young, probably about 5. I remember we had to get rid of him because they couldn’t get him to behave. They always told me that he went to go help handicapped children. Hmmmm, I wonder.
Love that page a ton.
Sometimes I feel like a horse….all body on skinny ankles, and I have the wobbly ligaments to prove it. That poor horse at the Derby ~ so sad for her and her owners and trainers. But unfortunately, I know that ankle fractures are pretty common. I love horses.
Funny, we both wouldn’t want to eat the oats and grass, LOL. Love your layout.
Man, you aren’t kidding that horses are an accident waiting to happen!
Love all animals…horses just are my least favorite.
And life AS a horse? No thank you.
Again, a beautiful blog, Tammy.
Another horse owner! Y’all are so lucky. That was one of the dreams I had as a child but I never got one. The best I got was a little plastic palomino that Barbie could ride.
