I feel safe and my new bike!

I feel safe when …

I feel safe knowing we have a President that will take a stand on terrorism and do something about it.  Not just talk about it for years.

I feel safe knowing that our military is always on duty 24/7.  These people have given their lives for our country and kept us free.

I feel safe knowing that our firefighters and police are working around the clock to make sure we are safe in our streets and our homes.  I just wish our society would let them do their jobs.

I feel safe knowing my husband will always stand before me when it comes to safety.  I love having a man around the house that cares about the safety of his family.

And last but not least, I feel safe knowing that my crazy dog is there with his keen sense of smell and sharp ears always on alert and ready to lick and slobber on anyone that gets close to his mom. :)

My new bike was delivered the other day in pieces and the instructions that came with it told us how to put on the seat, handle bars and peddles but nothing on how to put the front tire and splash guard on.  This bike is only a single speed, so we thought, how hard can this be.

We played with it and played with it and finally got it done and figured it was right.  Filled up the tires and I took it out for a trial run.  A couple of my neighbors came over to check it out and each of them said, “Your front tire is on backwards.”  Glenn and I looked at each other and just busted out laughing.  So, all the men standing there trying to figure out how to take it apart and turn the tire around.  I walked over and suggested to grab the handle bars, turn the tire all the way around and then just turn the handle bars back to the front again.  That way you don’t have to take the tire off and just loosen one screw at the handle bars.

Those men looked at me like, now how did you figure that out.  I just smiled and went my way.

The main reason why I got the bike was so the dog could run next to me to get more exercise.  Those same men stood around just to see the dog pull me off the bike going down the road.  They wanted to see me crash and burn!  Well, there was no way I was going to let that happen.  Got the dog and walked with him next to the bike to make sure he wasn’t scared.  He did fine and then I started riding the bike with him trotting along the side.  HE LOVED IT!!!!  He stayed far enough away from the bike for safety and I was really proud of him.

I have purchesed this attachment, the WalkyDog,  for my bike and any of you out there that want to ride with your dog, this is a must and really works well.  I have a video below that shows how this product works.

I went down to the end of the road and back and the men were all in a row in awe.  I told them, “Don’t ever under estimate the power of a menopausal woman!”
