Something Special and Layout
Blog Prompt: Today is Spouse’s Day. What is something nice you will do for a special person in your life?
One thing that I can always do special for my hubby is to make him a good Southern home cooked meal. Or something very comforting.
Tonight I am making meatloaf with all the fixins. He loves meatloaf. I’m not that crazy about it, but I always love watching him enjoy every bite of his dinner.
Saturday night I baked pork chops with a gravy and I thought the man was going to kiss my feet. He loves gravy for sure. He loves to put a bit of gravy on biscuits or bread. Good ole country boy for sure.
Sunday rolled around and we were eating leftovers and he wanted to know where the rest of the gravy was for the pork chop that was left over. I told him when I put the left over pork chop in the bowl, I just put enough gravy on it to cover it and threw out the rest. Well, you would’ve thought I committed a major sin.
I now know you “Never through out gravy!”

sounds like my family — they love meatloaf, though I’m not crazy about it. Still, I like seeing how excited they get when we’re having something for supper that they all LOVE!
I guess I missed Spouse’s Day. I guess I do nice stuff for him, but I need to brag instead. Yesterday I was feeling poopy and he let me sleep for 3 hours while he did a bunch of laundry and the dishes. I kept asking what can I do to help – but he said “lay there and sleep or blog”. I’m so lucky – I got to do both!

Oh I agree totally, never through out the gravy. Have you ever had it on french fries, oh the calories but oh so good, add a little ketchup too, my DH thinks I’m nuts. Cute layout, she’s adorable.

i missed spouce day also. i will have to celebrate next week when dh isn’t in the dog house!
