Learn From Your Mistakes
Blog Prompt: Has anyone ever made a mistake that you promised yourself to never make? Did you keep your promise to yourself?
Oh, I have made many mistakes in my life and learned from them.
Like, never plug something into the wall and your hand is wet. Read a recipe correctly and not use sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk to use in tuna casserole and there are many more. ![]()
But, I have to agree with my blog friend Pat, that my biggest promise was not to let myself go, keep exercising and watch what I eat. I have too many things I want to do in this world and being physically fit and able to get around is one of them. Also, not having good genes with heat attacks and strokes will keep your mind in the right place for sure. Menopause has really taken a tole on my body and there are some pounds that I need to get rid of for sure.
One other thing I promised myself was that if hair color comes in a box, it would be on my hair. I just can’t let myself go gray yet. Maybe in my 60′s, but not now. That makes me feel older than anything else.
Learn from your mistakes so you don’t repeat them in the new year.

I remember putting condensed milk in macaroni and cheese instead of using evaporated milk. Yuck! I used to get my hair colored but now I can’t make myself sit that long at the beauty shop. So, the gray is creeping throughout my dark hair.
