Sibling’s Day
Yes, I have a little brother but by looking at him though, you would think he was my big brother. Our family is not small in frame at all and when you put my “little” brother next to me, he is a Mr. Atlas without working on it. Beautiful wavy hair, a great smile, always making me laugh and a great father and husband.
I have tons and tons of stories about my brother and how he use to annoy me to no end when I was younger. Come to think of it, he still does annoy me! But, my best stories of him are of recent.
He married for the 1st time at the age of 42 and became a father for the 1st time a couple years later to a wonderful son named Denver. My parents now have 2 grandchildren 25 years apart. I don’t get to see my brother much now since I live in Florida, but we still see each other at least once a year. He will be here with his family in May and I can’t wait.
But the thing I will always be most proud of my brother for is that he has given many years of his life to our military. He recently spent a year in Iraq with his National Guard unit and missed the birth of his only child. Those were long days while he was gone, but he has made a commitment to his country and he will always stand by that.

Please tell him his work for our country’s defense is NEVER underappreciated! He sounds like a wonderful person…thank you for sharing with us!
Your brother sounds like he is very much loved by you! I’m so glad you have that closeness. Please include my gratitude for all his sacrifices he has made for me and our country!
What a wonderful brother you have; but then doesn’t that run in the family? He has my appreciation and respect.
I could feel how proud you are of him in your journaling. He sounds like a truly amazing man. Please also give him my thanks for giving each of us the freedom that we enjoy each and everyday and let him know his sacrifices do not go unnoticed! Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
