Someone Famous
Is there someone famous and living today that you find particularly interesting?
I find Suzy Orman very interesting and love how she explains to women about finances. She is direct, tells it like it is and helps you take charge of your finances.
For instance, the other day she was talking about how the economy is hitting some families very hard. And I love what she said. “The economy isn’t hurting you, you are hurting yourself.” She then proceeded to tell these women how you must save for a rainy day and not spend every cent you have just because you have it. “Why do you need all the best clothes, cars, etc.” she went on to say. She also explained that we have had 4 recession’s since 1980 and have lived through those and we will live through this one too!! It really bothers me to hear people blame all their problems on the economy, when in turn they have done this to themselves. Ladies, we have got to start learning to take care of ourselves for our future.
She also explains to women how they need to prepare themselves for when their spouses are gone. There are so many women out there that have nothing after their husbands die or leave them. What a sad, sad situation for women today.
Suzy has lived through a period in her life where she had nothing and learned how to pull herself out of the gutter. I urge all you women out there to read her books or visit her website. We have used her Trust system ourselves and was very pleased with it.

She definitely has some good info, and I agree about the being prepared, especially if something happens and you are suddenly alone. My father died when I was 2 and my brother was 1, and it was SUCH a relief to my mother to have financial security because they had planned ahead. You just never know!
