Superstitious?
Are you superstitious? Does the thought of ‘Friday the 13th’ make you nervous?
I have some superstitious qualities about me. I use to bowl for almost 30 years and I had a lot of superstitions with that. I didn’t practice before I started bowling, I never wanted anyone to talk to me while I was stinging strikes and I would do the same for them, I always wore my special “bowling jeans”, and of course, no one was allowed to sit in my chair.
But in every day life, I guess I’m not superstitous, I don’t think. I do think about that this is Friday the 13th, and maybe I shouldn’t step on the crack in the sidewalk cause it could break my momma’s back, and I saw a black cat this morning walking. I better be on my toes today!!
I must add at this point though, that my favorite football player of all time is Dan Marino and his number was 13. So there is 13 all over my office with his memorbilia, so the number can’t be all that bad.
Your bowling superstition reminds me of my hubby! Dh is a basketball coach and he has “lucky suit” he wears at every game and we need to say goodbye to him in a certain way, whenever he went to games, lol!
I was never able to bowl like a normal person. So many people have tried to teach me and I even have my own bowling shoes! I can NOT swing my arm and walk at the same time. So, I walk to the line and then swing my arm and hopefully aim the ball down the alley (mine preferably even though it has landed in others before). I admire anyone who is coordinated and can bowl.
You must have been a pretty fine bowler Tammy! I bet you could walk all over my bowling regardless of which jeans you wore! LOL
