It was so sad ... I remember being mesmerized by the oil in the water. We just got back from Washington and I cried at all the memorials we saw there - they're just so moving. Especially the Vietnam Memorial and omg, the Holocaust Museum. I also went to NYC and saw Ground Zero and the exhibit they've got there. So powerful. Words can't convey the depth of emotion I felt seeing these. I remember seeing the USS Arizona when I was younger. It was so sad … I remember being mesmerized by the oil in the water.
