My Office, Word Art Challenge and Monogrammed Bows

Wow, it’s Monday already, so what do you say that we journal about “the office.” Be it away from home or at home (and for those of you who say I don’t have an office, I’m a sahm, well, you surely do. Where do you sit to pay the bills, plan the schedules, make the calls?)

This was one of the very first layouts which got me hooked on digital scrap booking.  The kit is called Digiscrappin‘ by Elizabeth Weaver and the challenge was to scrap your desk.  I love how the bulletin board turned out.  It looks so much like my desk.  That was fun!

I love my office and even though I work from home, I have a great space to work.  I do wish it was a wee bit bigger to lay out my items I make for orders to keep separated.  But, I manage.

One wall is book shelves full of books, pictures and items from our past.  It’s a great area to keep all our “stuff”.  The other wall is my desk, computer and items for my business.  The closet is a great place to store office and business supplies.

I have a radio on all the time, window to the front part of my home, a rug and pillow for the dog, a small curio cabinet with a lot of my Miami Dolphin items to show off and anything else I need to work with.

The only thing I need to do now is recover a chair my parents had for years.  It’s that awful 70′s gold velvet and I have a wonderful rust color material to recover it with, I am just waiting for my husband to bring me the staple gun to get the job done.

But basically that is my office and I love working from home now.

Word Art Challenge

I am hosting a Word Art Challenge this month and I hope all of you can come and join us.  All you have to do is make a layout using Father or Dad in your word art.  And for participating in this challenge, you will receive a free quick page.

Oh, but there is more.  Since June is the month I was born in, I will also be giving away a word art set of dad quotes you can use with the quick page or your own layouts.

So come and join us here this month and I can’t wait to see all your great layouts.

The example below is the quick page you will receive and one example of the word art that will also be included.

My Newest Item
I also want to show off my latest addition to Personalized Creations.  We now offer beautiful monogrammed bows in great colors.  What little girl doesn’t want her initial on her bow!

The pictures are by a very talented photographer, Hollie Hanson and of her cute little daughter.  Most of you scrappers already know Hollie from her beautiful layouts she displays.

Please stop by Personalized Creations and check out all our new items and as always, I will custom make a bow for you.

  1. We converted our fourth bedroom for my office and I love it in there. It’s got that really light yellow-green paint on the walls and black furniture. I need to spruce it up some more but that will be down the road. I love having a space to call my own!

    Those bows look adorable!

  2. LOVE those bows!! (My daughter still doesn’t have hair, but I’m still enthralled with hair bows).

And love the word art challenge – just the idea I needed for today – thanks!

  3. Gorgeous bows! And that layout is so beautiful and touching. Thanks for sharing!

  4. My workspace is a mess but it’s mine! and I really do know where everything is! LOL…. the bow, esp. in that chocolate color, is gorgeous! hope they are big sellers for you!
